IMMUNIZATIONS

Immunizations are one of the safest and most effective ways to protect your child against serious illness.  Our practice adheres to and strongly recommends the vaccination schedule as published by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  We recognize that culturally there is some controversy and hesitancy surrounding vaccinations.  Our goal is to cultivate a relationship built on trust as we navigate your child's healthcare needs.  Our promise to you is that we will always recommend the same treatment for your child that we would for our own children.  While our recommendation is to vaccinate, our office does not currently require that you do so.  Our only requirements are a signed Record of Vaccine Declination at each of your child's wellness visits and that those wellness visits are made in compliance with the recommended AAP schedule.  Routine wellness examinations allow our providers the opportunity to better manage the overall growth and development of each child.  While it is not our desire, this office policy may be subject to change as insurance requirements are making leniency within vaccine policy increasingly more difficult.
